A Podcast on Pantsing?!

Guess what?!???!!!

We’re starting a podcast!!!

Oh my gosh! I can hardly believe I’m actually writing this sentence. This is something my friends and I have been discussing for a while now, and after many midnight chats (well, afternoon for me, midnight for them), trying not to strangle YouTube when it’s being completely idiotic, arguing over websites, and trying to come up with a name for it….

It. Is. Finally. Happening.

The person who came up with this idea was actually my friend (and soon-to-be-co-host), Bea Dragonia, who has just released her fantasy book, Where Have All the Dragons Gone: The Beginning of the End. Bea and I are both pantsers, and as a pantser, it sometimes can feel a bit like the online writing community is absolutely flooded with advice for plotters. Character arcs, story structure, outlining methods, etc, etc.

And so…………

Bea had the most fantastic idea EVER. What if we made a podcast just for pantsers? Where we three pantsers (because my friend D.A. Brandon, who is very nice and also very kindly beta read The Last Hope for me — and had very good suggestions! — is also joining us), come together every two weeks to record episodes and chat about writing as pantsers!!!

Our podcast is called The Crazy Creatives, and we now already have a YouTube channel where we’ll be posting every two weeks with episodes about writing without an outline (and author interviews sprinkled in!!!). There’s actually already a teaser and introduction from the three of us, and so you can now head here to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/@TheCrazyCreatives

So if you’re a fellow pantser, then we’d love to have you follow us on your journey (and possibly click that subscribe button? ;D).

Super excited to see where this podcast takes us!

Till next time,

-Isabelle

About Isabelle Knight 166 Articles
Hi! My name is Isabelle Knight, and I'm the young writer and middle-grade author of the Enchantria series! I love writing (though the writing process is usually both magical and maddening) and have been writing since I was ten. When I'm not writing about eerie shadows, daring heroines, and magic, I'm usually stuck with my nose in a book, drawing, or playing the ukulele or tin whistle.
