The Loot I Would Drop

Hello, folks!! ^^ How are y’all doing? I hope that you’ve all had a wonderful week!! I’ve been slogging through my first draft, but the wonderful Hallie Kropf over on her blog has tagged us for an exceptionally fun tag (first created by Ava over at Always Ava), and who can resist such a shiny, unofficial tag??

And so, today, y’all will get to see what loot I would drop if I were to tragically die in a video game. :DD

I don’t play a lot of video games, but we used to have this absolutely wonderful fantasy video game full of quests and with gorgeous landscapes (and also this evil force called the Murk.) Alas, we do not have the video game console anymore (*weepeths*), and so I doubt I will ever be able to finish my Quest to Banish the Murk from This Land. I do not even remember what the game was called anymore, but I loved it. One of the quests was to help this fellow grow a blue beard. Twas most fun. I also had a little farm, which was nice.

Anyway, lost video game consoles aside, here is the loot I would drop, should I have suffered a tragic death in a video game! Enjoyyy!!!

fountain pen

I have my fountain pen with me all the time. Twas my grandpa’s, and I utterly adore it. It writes well, and I love the ink too — dark blue and so smooth and thick. When I’m outside, I’m usually carrying this in my pocket or purse along with a notebook or an index card (to jot down any ideas that come to me, of course.)

Actually, those two images above are snurched from Pinterest and aren’t actually my fountain pen. Mine is silver and not so fancy and looks like an ordinary pen but than an ordinary pen.

UPDATE: I dropped my fountain pen and it broke. *sob*

a pair of glasses

These actually are my glasses on top of my journal.

Because I wear glasses. And my eyesight is horrible.

*weeps*

Alf;hiwqeopih.

Anyway, these I got in Thailand around two years ago, and as you can see they are a nice grey, blue-ish, which I like. My mom always insists I be terribly careful as glasses can be delicate things, but I am probably the least careful person on the planet, and my glasses have surprisingly survived so far — yay!!

my journal

My dear, precious journal. This is probably one of my most Prized Possessions, just because of how much I write in it every day. I was inspired by The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion to start a journal in October, and so far, have kept it up and filled out four journals already! This is my fifth one, and I adore its color. :))

a book (or two)

Because I always need to carry around a book or two, of course. Even if there is no time to read on this errand. Because what if there is time to read? Or we must wait in line for something??

Hence, books.

headphones

I love my headphones. I am always wearing them. I probably wear them a bit too much. But I am not even kidding when I tell you that not a single day passes without me having listened to music for a few hours. Mine are wireless, because my wired ones stopped working (well, either that, or the headphone jack on my laptop has just stopped working, because for some reason my wired ones work fine on my dad’s laptop).

a tin whistle

In the key of D, to be precise. Because that is the most common key. I have been debating on whether I ought to also buy myself a G whistle as well though.

I play the tin whistle (which is somewhat like a flute, but less complicated and Irish) and it sounds absolutely gorgeous, and I will often take this with me if I’m going to either the park or beach. I can play a good number of songs on it now, and I love it!!! *hugs it*

Tin whistles are amazing, cheap, portable, and the learning curve isn’t too steep (unless you’re dealing with ornamentation, which I’ve somewhat mastered after a few months), and the music they make will whisk your soul away to misty forests in an instant. Please. Buy yourself a tin whistle, folks. It will make your life so much happier. :))

a harmonica

Because harmonicas also make your life much happier. I am just learning to play the harmonica and tis most fun. It may or may not also have gotten me into blues music. XDD

a pair of crocs

Because I wear these in the summer. XDD I have a pair of fun tie-dyed-looking rainbow ones.

white rabbit candy

No, it’s not made out of rabbits. No, I don’t know why it’s called White Rabbit candy. XDD Because rabbits are…. white? And… creamy?? Like the candy?? XDDDD Or maybe it’s because their fur is soft?? Which might remind one of cream???

Anyway, this is a Chinese candy that is most scrumptious and tastes like creamy vanilla. I do not know if they exist over yonder in the States, but they are delicious. (Don’t chew it though!!! Just let it melt in your mouth. Tisn’t so easy to chew.) I have a stash of them in my writing shed to snack on while I write. XD I am actually eating one right now as I write this.

Aand, there you have it, folks!! This is the loot I would drop, if I were to die in a video game. (You could not really die in the video game I played though. I know this because I drowned myself several times on purpose while fishing and always ended up being popped back up onto land. XDDD) If I do die and you find my loot, please be so kind as to return them to me at my respawn point. Especially the fountain pen. Thank you.

This is not really an official tag, but… I shall tag people anyway. XDD Make this into a tag. Anyway, there are no rules against it since this isn’t an official tag and so this doesn’t have rules.

Anyone else who wants to do this, this is free for snurching!!

Now, I’ve procrastinated writing my novel by doing this (very fun) tag, and so it’s back to the writing shed for me! Farewell and wishing y’all a splendiferous week!! ^^ Till next time!

Hi! My name is Isabelle Knight, and I'm the young writer and middle-grade author of the Enchantria series! I love writing (though the writing process is usually both magical and maddening) and have been writing since I was ten. When I'm not writing about eerie shadows, daring heroines, and magic, I'm usually stuck with my nose in a book, drawing, or playing the ukulele or tin whistle.
