Hello, everyone!! Isabelle Knight back here again, and I am so excited to say that the interview with E.L Shen is officially out and posted on YouTube! ^^ E.L Shen is a middle-grade (and young adult!) author, and she has written some absolutely fantastic books, including The Comeback and Maybe It’s a Sign (her two MG novels), and also The Queens of New York, (her young adult book!)
She is one of my favorite authors, and her books are just so full of heart, and they’re just so much fun to read! Which is why I was so excited to be able to interview her! And on video call, nonetheless!! You can find the interview here, and during the interview, we chatted a bit about her writing process, how she got the ideas for Maybe It’s a Sign and The Comeback and also a bit about baking!! Fun hint, baking actually plays a part in Maybe It’s a Sign! ;D
The interview was ever so much fun to do!! I had a great time chatting with E.L Shen, and it was especially fun to talk about secret pen names with each other! (Yes, I did ask her that classic question I ask authors — do you have a secret pen name that nobody knows about?) She also had some fantastic advice for young writers, so if you want to hear what she said, do check out that interview!!!
So yeah! I guess this wraps up this rather short post/update, but hopefully the interview will appease you until I am back with another blog post!!! In the meantime, I shall work on finalizing the final book in the Enchantria series, which is coming Summer 2025!!!!!!!!!!
