Hey everyone! Isabella Knight here again with another writing update! First of all, I’d like to announce that the cover teaser of Enchantria will be coming out on May 16. I am so excited! I’m working on the back cover blurb, but it should be ready by then. I’m pretty good at writing books but somehow, I just can’t create a good back cover blurb. Anyway, back to the writing update.
I am still working on the revision for book three in the Enchantria series and doing a proofread and final polishing for Enchantria: Warrior’s Daughter. Today, I started revising the second I finished breakfast. I probably revised for about two hours, I think. After that, I kinda stopped. It was just getting harder to revise and I guess I was getting a bit bored. So, I did the proofread of Enchantria: Warrior’s Daughter.
I think I’m probably done revising today. I don’t know why. I’m just getting bored of revising. I really do not like revising. It’s my least favorite part of writing aside from writing the back cover blurb.
I’d also like to tell you that I am working on another book. I won’t tell you exactly what it’s about right now. I am currently working on the book during the night. Yes, that might sound strange. During the day, I work on Enchantria and at night, I work on that other book. I have no idea when that book can get published since I am currently working on it in a spiral bound notebook I bought in Thailand with an ink pen (is that what you call it? It’s the kind of pen that you have to fill with ink once it’s out of it). The ink pen leaks sometimes and… it just gets ink all over my fingers when it does that. I never notice until it’s too late. Luckily, the ink washes off pretty easily. I don’t know why I work on it in a notebook. All I know is that it is going to be really annoying to revise since I’ll have to copy all that onto my computer. Talk about tedious. But that’s a problem for future me.
Also, the Book of Month is coming up in two weeks. I know that I should wait until the end of the month to decide but right now, I have a pretty good candidate that’s unlikely to change. I’ll give you a clue. Canadian sky. The School for Good and Evil. Good luck with trying to figure that out! 😄
I’m also working on a poem book. I’m just changing up some already existing poems to make them more amusing. I’ll attempt to put it into a children’s book. I have no idea how it’s going to turn out. I don’t think it’ll go well… I’m not that great at drawing. Also, how do you change a paper drawing into a digital one? I’m not good at drawing digitally. It’s so hard! Anyway, if I totally fail at creating a children’s book (which I’ve already done once. Long story that you don’t have to know right now) I’ll be publishing it on my website. Here’s an excerpt:
