Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken winged bird
That cannot fly
-Langston Hughes
Is a dream worth dreaming if it never comes true?
Are wings worth having, if you never fly?
Is it worth it to live, when we all die?
Is a story worth telling if nobody listens?
Is it worth it to know, if there is nothing you can do?
And if we fail, why bother to try?
Like a feather falling on the ground,
Like a raindrop in the leaves,
Like a song that’s lost to wind and pain
Like a bird with broken wings.
Tell me why, oh, tell me why.
