Hello, everyone! Isabelle Knight here again with yet again another writing update. These past few writing days have been hectic. I’ve been stuck in a writing slump for so long. I’m seriously worried about book two being way too long and… it’s just been… not the most unstressful time, to say the least.
Right now, I’m working on giving book one a few tweaks and scene changes. Right now… book two is probably stuck at the bottom of a muddy hole. I have just had such a hard time getting this book on track. Book two (at least, for me) is one of the hardest books in a series to write because it needs to lead into the next book while also picking up where book one left and still having sort of the same themes and elements. I keep writing book two, then crashing into a brick, no, steel wall (not literally, of course) and then discover that I have been wrestling with the story. The story is winning, as usual.
I’ve also been doing some edits on book one and some polishes and just a few ‘minor’ scene revisions. It’s been going surprisingly well, though it’s hard to juggle two projects at once. I’ve also had this brilliant idea for a new novel that I won’t share yet (no spoilers!). I really love the idea, and the book itself was calling to me! But I do need to focus on Enchantria. I’ve been hoping to be able to dedicate some time to that book, but honestly, book two is just giving me so much trouble!
So… basically, it’s been a hectic week. I also found an adorable stray cat named Lilac and tried, really tried, to take her home. She did not want to leave. But the moment was nice while it lasted. I really hope I see her again. She’s just so adorable!
I think this probably wraps up this writing update. Sorry this is so short and I haven’t been posting on here for a long time. But I am just so busy with book two. I will honestly TRY and post one blog each week. I’ll try. If I do ever manage to get book two back on track.
