Hi! So, this is the very first post on my author website! Eek! I am so excited! I haven’t really published my book yet, but you can expect it to be out probably by September or earlier.
To those of you who don’t know me, my name is Isabelle Knight, and I am the author of the Enchantria series which will hopefully be out this year. I enjoy writing middle-grade fantasy books and I hope that Enchantria will the first of many more books to come!
To kick things off, I’d like to give you a little taste of Enchantria, the world I’ve been creating. This book will be part of a four-book series. It will be about a girl named Elena whose mother disappeared eleven years ago and left her nothing but a golden key. On her sixteenth birthday, she finds her way to the magical land of Enchantria, one of eleven mortal kingdoms. She’ll be pulled into a magical world of mystical creatures, dangerous quests, and will be forced to face an old enemy of the land. I am so excited to publish it! But, right now, I can give you a sneak peek of the prologue of the first book in the series. I am so excited to publish it and share the magic of Enchantria with you!
Prologue
In the kingdom of Enchantria, in a land far from our own, the stars foretold a prophecy. Old and ancient. For years, people spoke of the prophecy that was rumored to foretell either the rise or fall of the kingdom. Thousands of years passed. Eventually people forgot about the prophecy. Until one fateful day…
This is why I started this website: I heard that lots of authors have author websites, so I thought, “Why not me?” I thought that it would be great to have a special place to connect with you and share the journey of bringing Enchantria to life from my imagination to your bookshelf or Kindle. I’ll be publishing the ebook first. I’m sorry, but I don’t know when I’ll publish the paperback. I’m new to KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) but I hope to have the paperback version out soon. Anyway, I’m so excited to start this blog! Since I am pouring most of my energy into finishing the first book of the series, I don’t know how often I’ll be able to blog. But I’ll definitely try to pop in here at least once a week with something fun and interesting.
Some of you might be wondering about this website’s name. Usually, author websites are yourname.com. Like gailcarsonlevine.com or rickriordan.com. Well, long story short, I had this website a really long time ago but never really used so I thought, “I already have this website. Now I might finally be able to put this to use.”
I am currently putting the finishing touches on book one and eagerly working on the sequels. I already have the first draft of the series and I hope to have the entire book series out soon. Stay tuned for writing updates, some writing tips, upcoming releases, and a few sneak peeks of books. Oh, and a few occasional short stories.
