YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can’t believe we’re doing this. I mean, a Christmas collab?! A dream come true! (faints from pure joy). Anyway, hello everyone!!! Isabelle Knight here again with a special writing update on our very special Christmas collab!
If you haven’t been here for the previous update, go check it out! So basically, I had insomnia and had an awesome idea! And that was to do a Christmas collaboration with all (okay, not all. But a lot) of the other authors on StoryCraft.Cafe! The goal is for each of us to write our own Christmas short story for kids and teens, and we’ll compile it into an anthology!!!!!
How awesome is that? Anyway, I’ve already gotten started on my short story, and I’m loving it!!! I wrote most of it in my Korean cat notebook (I kid you not. A notebook with a cat on it, made in Korea, with some Korean syllables on it that I can’t read) yesterday because I had digital eye strain. Apparently, too much screen = angry eyes. Who knew? 🤷♀️ But I finally am finishing it up in my word processor (I use LibreOffice. It’s better than MS Word), and typing is way faster.
I’m not sure exactly how many stories I’ll write. Depends on my level of inspiration. But I think I’ll DEFINITELY do at least one. I have an idea for the second one, so we’ll see how that goes, I guess? And amazingly, a bunch of other authors have agreed to do this with me, so yay, shout-out to them, especially Leah and Journey and Athena!!!!!
Apparently they thought this was a good idea and not one that a restless but also very sleepy Isabelle had when she had insomnia! 😁😁😁🎉🎉🥳
Journey has already gotten started on hers, Leah will do at least one story, and Athena will be working on hers later this week! I think she already might be since she told me this earlier this week so… (shrugs)
Anyway, thank you so much for coming, and I shall see you again in the next post!!!!!!! Merry Almost Christmas and Happy Holidays! And do not forget to check out our book once it’s published! (oh my gosh, I’m still so excited).
Also, our stories are varied. REALLY varied. I write MG fantasy/adventure while Athena is working on a small town romance, so it’s gonna be really varied. If you’re a parent, you might want to check the stories and pick a few for your kids to read. The age range for the book is probably going to 7 to 16 years old.
Anyway, thanks for coming and I AM SO EXCITED! Bye, Happy Holidays, Merry Almost Christmas, don’t forget to check out my own books (shameless author here lol), and I SHALL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON! FAREWELL MY FRIENDS!
Isabelle
