I Guess I’m A Teen Author Now?

Hello, hello, all!! ^^ How have you been doing? (Have you been writing? Found any good books? Found a lovely bookstore/library to get your books from?) I am currently typing away at this thing in the dark, with Izzy and Charlotte sitting beside me, because….

Oh my goodness, I truly don’t know how to say this. Part of me wants to laugh and cry at the absurdity of this.

But… today’s the day. I am now officially a teen author!!!

(You can piece together what I mean, yes? No?)

I am now officially thirteen!!!

It really is rather odd. I actually noticed it was (technically) my birthday at around 12:30 AM last night. XD (Yes, yes, I do stay up very late.)

And to be honest, part of me… can’t really believe this? Part of me wishes to laugh and cry at the same time. Because.. there’s no way I can be thirteen. After all, a teenager?! It is a most baffling prospect at this moment.

I suppose I’m both excited and in disbelief.

I know I really shouldn’t feel any more different than I did when I was twelve. After all, I was literally twelve only a day ago!

And yet part of me can’t help but feel rather different. Almost as if a chapter of my life has closed and a new one has opened. Strange, I know. Perhaps I am the only one who feels this way. But for some odd reason, this is how I feel.

This past year has been absolutely wild. I completed the series that’s been in my head for years. I’ve met the most wonderful writer friends. Crashed my kayak into the rocks. Met some of my favorite authors and actually spoke to them. Wrote the story that felt absolutely impossible to finish. (cough) The Last Hope. (cough)

If there is anything I want this new year to be filled with, it would be writing. Lots and lots of writing. And reading. :))
