Hello, all! ^^ How are you doing? How has autumn been where you are? (Has winter started creeping up on you?) Autumn is one of my favorite seasons (as you’ve probably seen me mention before), and there’s just something that’s just so cozy about this change and the lovely leaves of red and gold! And also, I love autumn rain!!! It’s the best weather to be writing/reading in! (I mean, while inside the house, of course. NOT outside in the rain. That would just kill both my keyboard and my laptop.)
And in today’s post, I am doing another tag!! :)) This time, an autumn tag! A thank you to Autumn Grace, for creating this tag! ^^ (Her blog is wonderful, go check it out!) And a thank you to my dear friend, Journey Bloomfield for tagging me!

- Download the cover photo and use it for your post (down below!)
- Acknowledge the person who tagged you (Thank you, Journey!!!)
- Tag others and comment on their blog to let them know!
- Slip into autumn vibes

And now, onto all the questions about autumn!
1. If autumn isn’t your favorite season, what is? And if autumn is your favorite season, why?
Autumn is most certainly my favorite season, for all the reasons that I’ve listed above in the beginning of this post! ^^ I just love the feeling that’s in the air, the changing of the leaves, and there just really is something magical about the season! I also love that there’s also the feeling of slowing down. Winter is coming, the year is soon ending, but it still hasn’t quite ended yet. I just love it! (And as I’ve mentioned before, the autumn rain, people!! The autumn rain!)
2. What is your favorite thing that you do each autumn?
Jumping in piles of fallen leaves! I love it!! Now, I don’t know if any other countries do this, but in China, we have people whose job it is to sweep the sidewalk. They often just sweep all the fallen autumn leaves into a pile on the side, which I always loved as a kid!!! I would always jump right in and start jumping in the pile of leaves!
Another thing I loved to do is journal and read! Now, I read all the time, but come on, you cannot deny that there is something so much cozier about reading a book curled up in bed in autumn!!!
3. What are a couple of your favorite autumn memories?
Jumping in the leaves as kid! And while not particularly fall-related, this did happen last year in November, therefore it counts — me and my dad crashing our kayak in the rocks on the shores of Thailand and somehow making it out unscathed. Well, I did, that is. My dad made it out mostly unscathed. The two of us were rowing in completely different directions apparently, and the guy who rented us the kayak for a few hours kept shouting at us from the shore. We didn’t hear him because of the waves, and then we got caught in a rock and the waves tipped us over.
4. What book most reminds you of the autumn? Movie?
Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery! Oh my stars, this was one of my favorite books ever when I was a child, and even now, I still adore it! Anne Shirley is so imaginative and so me, and I loved reading about Green Gables and all the antics she got up to! I feel like this book is honestly perfect for spring and summer as well, but I do think it’s really the perfect book to read during the fall!

Another book would probably be The Pumpkin Princess and the Forever Night, which is such a wonderful, heartwarming middle-grade book and so perfect for autumn!!! (And also for Halloween. I don’t like Halloween, but this isn’t a scary horror book, so I am alright with it.)
As for movies, I don’t really watch a lot of movies, so honestly, nothing’s coming to mind right now.
Let me think…
Oh!! I do believe that, a long time ago, I did see a movie version of Anne of Green Gables. So probably that one.
5. What is your favorite drink for this season?
Jasmine tea!!! Duh.
It is such a fantastic drink!!! It’s very…. well, I don’t know how to describe it, but I love it!! An underrated tea, in my opinion. It’s also become my go-to drink for when I’m sick with a pounding headache, sore throat, and stuffy nose.
6. What is one new thing that you want to do this autumn?
Actually finish a first draft for once. T.T
I’m not sure that’s going to happen. Apparently there’s a saying that the more pressure you put on something happening, the less chances there are of it actually happening.
I’ve been putting way too much pressure on myself.
Another new thing I’d like to do this autumn is start picking up watercolor painting again. I started in August, but I didn’t really keep up the habit of painting every day (or at least once a week). I’d also like to more a bit more on how to render skin and hair in digital drawing!
7. Do you decorate for the season? If so, how? If not, how come?
Hmm, sometimes! I normally like to find cozy, autumny things, whatever they may be, and I especially love cute notebooks and baskets! I also got the cutest mug which serves both as a decoration and something to just sip orange juice from! (And it does look very autumny! Perfect for any season, really). I also love to put up watercolor paintings that remind me of autumn!
8. Thanksgiving is a couple of months away; what is your favorite way to celebrate? (I think most of my blogger friends are American. ) If not, skip this one.
Despite my pen name, I am Chinese, and we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here. I shall skip this question.
9. What color most makes you think of autumn?
A deep brown and a deep brownish-red!
10. Type up a list of ten words or names (i.e. White Chicken Chili) that encapsulate the season of autumn for you.
- Jasmine tea
- Pattering of the rain
- Autumn leaves
- Chilly wind
- Warm blankets
- Bookshelf overflowing with books
- Panda scarves! (Scarves for my stuffed pandas)
- Cuddling stuffed pandas.
- Sleeping
- Love & warmth
- A sleeping, non-aggressive Izzy
Yes, that was 11, but for those of my friends who have met Izzy face-to-face, I’m sure we can agree that a non-aggressive Izzy is simply splendid.
So yes, those are my answers to these questions, which have now very much successfully placed me into an autumn mood, despite the eternal heat of Thailand! ^^ Autumn truly is a wonderful season!
And I shall hereby tag:

Jumping in leaves is such fun! America does not have street leaf sweepers, actually. If you have a street you must do so yourself. But lots of people rake their leaves. Your watercolors are so pretty!
I’m glad you did the tag! (Thanks for reminding me of your existence. I KNEW there was Someone Else. ♀️)
It is!! And really?? Hm. I suppose you get leaf-covered streets then, instead of just a squeaky clean street with a giant pile of leaves in the corner. XD And thanks!! I really must share some of my watercolors here on my blog…
And indeed!!! Thank you for tagging me. Even if you forogt at first. (raises a skeptical eyebrow)
So fun to see your answers! I loved this wee glimpse into what autumn is like in China as well. Jasmine tea sounds lovely!! I have never tried it. I have been into Pumpkin Chai tea though, of late. I am joining you on the finish a draft thing this autumn XD Just let it come gently and it will be more fun anyway. Good on you for knowing when to push yourself and when to take time to add layers to your other hobbies too. I look forward to seeing what you create! (should you ever feel like sharing any with us ;))

I’m glad you liked them!! (I saw you did the tag too! I was going to tag you, but… you’d already done the tag. XD) And jasmine tea is fantastic!!!!!!! You must try it! It’s wonderful! And I’m also glad you liked the little glimpse into what autumn in China is like! (Though I believe China’s rather wintry and cold at this moment…)
Cool,I loved your answers, Isabelle! I’m glad you and your dad were okay after the kayak incident. How are you this week?
Lol yes me too. And I’m glad you liked my answers!! I’ve been doing alright this week — so-so, I suppose.
